Community news: Professor Alex Felice

It is with great sadness that we share news of the passing of Professor Alex Felice.

A renowned scientist in biomedical research, biobanking and epidemiology, Professor Felice was a key architect and one of the founders of BBMRI-ERIC who led the Maltese National Node from the University of Malta BioBank. Humble, kind and a visionary, he inspired many – particularly in the fields of human genomics and rare diseases.

Deeply respected across the BBMRI community and beyond, Professor Felice will be greatly missed. We express our sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.
