The Monitoring the Preanalytical Phase in Biobanking: Key Variables and QC Strategies, Graz, Austria 13/10/2026 – 13/10/2026, has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 1.0 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

The training will inform about the existence and implications of the pre-analytical phase in biobanking. Participants will be introduced to tools for quality monitoring throughout the entire process of fractionating blood, urine, and solid tissue. Suitable biomarkers that can be used in clinical quality control programs for biological material deposited in biobanks will also be presented. Another topic will be the integration of quality aspects with the ISO 20387 standard and its requirements for interlaboratory control of processes and samples stored in biobanks.
