Summary:
The webinar series is held in the context of the EU project CaBRIOH and co-organised by CaBRIOH project partner Medical University of Graz (BBMRI.at coordinator) and the BBMRI-ERIC Academy. It focuses on the European Technical Specification “Molecular in vitro diagnostic examinations – Specifications for pre-examination processes for human specimen – Isolated microbiome DNA”. It gives insight into the document clause by clause and provides as background information scientific evidence and rational as well as practical tips for users of CEN/TS 17626.
Part 2 and 3: Clause 5 “Outside the laboratory”
“From donor to transport to the laboratory: Donor, specimen, collection, stabilisation, transport, contamination” – Chapter 5 of CEN/TS 17626:2021 covers the longest and most critical steps of the microbiome workflow: everything that happens between the specimen donor and the specimen reception in the laboratory.
