As you may know, CTLS (Core Technologies for Life Science) is a pan-european initiative launched in 2013 to stimulate the interactions between research infrastructures, core facilities and resource laboratories across all the fields of life sciences.
It is a pleasure to inform you that, following the success of the 1rst CTLS2014 congress (june 2014, Institut Pasteur, Paris), the organization of the 2nd CTLS congress is well under way.
CTLS2016 will take place in the prestigious EMBL-Heidelberg Conference Center from june 12th to june 15th 2016.
Its web-site is: www.embl.de/ctls2016
An international panel of 14 top-level players in the research infrastructure/facility arena has confirmed its participation as keynote or invited speakers.
The 5 sessions of the congress aim to cover the very broad spectrum of questions that our support laboratories are faced with in their multi-faceted activity, which every day plays an increasingly essential role in the excellence of life science research institutions world-wide.
Whether you are a scientist, an engineer, a technician, an administrative manager or a policy-maker, we strongly encourage you to submit an abstract (deadline of the call for abstracts: 15th february 2016) and to register to CTLS2016.
Abstract propositions from BBMRI and/or its partners would be particularly appreciated !
A call is also open for satellite events, either workshops on topics directly linked to the congress sessions, or interest group meetings (that allow existing networks to meet on the occasion of CTLS2016). This can be an excellent opportunity for your network members to meet and make more of your CTLS2016 participation.
