DESCRIPTION:A major worldwide event providing an opportunity for strategic discussions about international cooperation in research infrastructure. A variety of experts and stakeholders discuss challenges and emerging trends\, highlighting the essential role of research infrastructures. \nThe upcoming ICRI will take place in Brno\, Czech Republic from 19-21 October 2022. \nBBMRI-ERIC and its National Nodes will be taking part in several events. \n\n18 October\, 13:00: Satellite event – Global and European Infrastructures IMPC and INFRAFRONTIER Towards the Deciphering of Gene Functions for Human Health.\nEuropean and world-wide research infrastructures provide comprehensive resources regarding gene function in physiology and disease. The infrastructures are used globally to model human biology and disease enabling therapeutic discovery and precision medicine. Jens K. Habermann\, Director General of BBMRI-ERIC will be speaking at this event. \nVenue: Brno Masaryk University campus. Hybrid event.  \n19 October\, 19:00. Side event – Finding Opportunity among Health Challenges: Allowing the Space for Research Infrastructure Synergies.\nThis side event will explore case scenarios in the field of health where further synergies among existing distributed RI’s resources at European and national levels as well as outside Europe\, can lead to more effective research and resilience. Roman Hrstka\, Deputy Director of BBMRI.CZ – Czech Republic – and Marialuisa Lavitrano\, Director of BBMRI.IT – Italy – will be speaking at this event. \nVenue: Hotel Passage Brno.
